MCP client
Claude Code
One command adds TranscriptDock to Claude Code.
1. Add the server#
Run this in your terminal, with your own API key:
Terminal
claude mcp add --transport http transcriptdock https://transcriptdock.com/mcp \--header "Authorization: Bearer td_live_YOUR_KEY"
This registers the remote server for the current project; add --scope user to have it in every project. Nothing to install. To run it locally instead:
Terminal (local server)
claude mcp add transcriptdock -e TRANSCRIPTDOCK_API_KEY=td_live_YOUR_KEY -- npx -y @transcriptdock/mcp
2. Verify#
Run /mcp inside a Claude Code session. transcriptdock should appear as connected, with its tools listed.
Example prompts#
- “Transcribe this YouTube link and give me the SRT.”
- “List my last 10 transcription jobs.”
- “Transcribe this TikTok and wait until it is done.”
Troubleshooting#
- Not connected: run
claude mcp listto confirm the entry exists, and check the key is correct. - Local server, command not found: install Node.js so
npxis on your PATH. - To remove it:
claude mcp remove transcriptdock.
